Mar Roca is an oceanographer graduated from the Catholic University of Valencia and specialized in GIS - Data Science by Esri Spain. Attending the Esri User Conference in 2019, she defended her work in San Diego (California) winning the Young Scholar Award. After that, she studied the Integrated Coastal Zone Management MSc in the University of Cádiz. Now, she’s working in the ecology and coastal management department of the ICMAN-CSIC thanks to the JAE INTRO scholarship. Her research is focused on the use of Sentinel-2, improving coastal monitoring and developing coastal operational tools throughout Google Earth Engine useful on decision making.
