Alejandro Román is a PhD student at ICMAN-CSIC (Ecology and Coastal Management Department). He completed his degree in Marine Sciences and the MSc in Oceanography at the University of Cádiz. Previously, Alejandro was part of the Earth Sciences Department at the University of Cádiz, working in the monitoring of the Cádiz province coastline in periods of meteorological instability. His research is focused on the development of machine learning algorithms and the use of GIS techniques based on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) remote sensing for the monitoring of coastal processes.
