Ms. Masuma Chowdhury completed M.Sc. on Water and Coastal Management from University of Bologna (Unibo, Italy), University of Algarve (Ualg, Portugal), and University of Cadiz (UCA, Spain) under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarship (EMJMD). During the master degree she stayed at ICMAN for three months for the academic internship. She has explicit knowledge on land use assessment and change detection, hydrology, coastal dynamics, estuarine environment, physical oceanography, remote sensing, geographic information system (GIS). She has experience working with large data sets, cloud counting, performing supervised land use classification using machine learning techniques, and statistical analysis. She also works as a reviewer of international scientific journals, i.e., Science of the Total Environment (STOTEN), Journal of Mountain Science (JMS), Journal of Environment and Sustainability (Sustinere), and Journal of Environmental Management (JEMA).
